Last Cab to Darwin set for premiere and Sydney Film Festival

Icon film distribution has announced that the world premiere of their Australian drama Last Cab to Darwin will be held at the Sydney State Theatre on June 6th 2015. And cast and crew from the film will be in attendance at the premiere.

In addition, it’s inclusion in the Sydney Film festival program has also been announced ahead of it’s theatrical release. Poignant and charming, Jeremy Sims’ direction will find its place among the slew of innovative and unique titles at the festival.

Micheal Caton plays Rex, a Broken Hill cab driver who, when told he doesn’t have long to live, sets out on an epic journey to Darwin in a bid to die on his own terms.  Along the way he is forced to expand his once limited horizons and open himself up to new people and new experiences; teaching us all that it’s never too late to start living.

Last Cab to Darwin is released theatrically on August 6. You can see the trailer below.
