Lady Gaga will become Donatella Versace for the third season of American Crime Story

Two figures marked by an outward style, both distinctive and unapologetic, Lady Gaga and Versace will cross paths again as she becomes Donatella Versace for the third season of American Crime Story.

Lady Gaga has worked as the face of the brand in previous years, as well as maintained a close relationship with Donatella, even to the point where a track from her 2013 album Artpop was titled after the fashion queen.

Show producer Ryan Murphy and Lady Gaga have worked together before on American Horror Story and will hope to recreate the chemistry they found during the series. The third season of American Crime Story centre on the murder of designer Gianni Versace by serial killer Andrew Cunanan.

The murder took place on in 1997 and the motive of Cunanan, who had previously murdered at least four people, has never been disclosed. The season is currently carrying the title Versace/Cunanan and is being planned for 2018.
