
After wowing audiences out of Sundance earlier this year, where the Oscar campaign for Jennifer Lopez officially started, Australia will now have their chance to see the triple threat in action herself, with Kiss of the Spider Woman set for a local release in theatres from October.
Dreamgirls and Beauty and the Beast director Bill Condon returns to the movie musical in this dazzling Technicolor-hued fantasy, telling of Valentín (Diego Luna), a political prisoner, who shares a cell with Molina (Tonatiuh), a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite silver screen diva, Ingrid Luna (Lopez).
Based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical hit, itself an acclaimed 1976 novel, before an Academy Award nominated 1985 film, Kiss of the Spider Woman is sure to lure Australian audiences into her web from October 30th, 2025.
