KinoKonzert. Live! to present live music with a cinematic twist in Sydney

KinoKozert. Live! looks to shake up the movie -going experience with a unique series, blending film and music, while featuring some of the most talented musicians from Australia and Germany.

Presented by the Goethe-Institut Australia, KinoKonzert. Live! will start 14 July with Crossroads, a modern silent film written and directed by Berlin underground legends “Alexander Hacke and Danielle de Piciotto” who will perform live.

Alexander is a member of post-industrial band Einstürzende Neubauten and an award winning film composer. Danielle is a former member of Australian rock group Crime and the City Solution, who together with Alexander, founded the Love Parade.

Following Crossroads, Melbourne-based techno DJ and composer Chiara Kickdrum will perform her score to Carl Theodor Dreyer’s iconic horror film Vampyr, also live in the cinema.

Get ready to experience the art of silent cinema like never before. With two sessions across 14 July and 26 September, KinoKonzert. Live! will be held at George Street Event Cinemas in NSW.
