Following on from last year’s announcement of the “This Is Me…Now” musical experience, which encapsulates both her forthcoming album and the visual film inspired by the music, Jennifer Lopez has released the This Is Me…Now full length trailer ahead of its anticipated February 16th global release on Prime Video.
This Is Me…Now: A Love Story is like nothing you’ve ever seen from the superstar. Alongside director Dave Meyers, Lopez has created a narrative-driven cinematic odyssey, steeped in mythological storytelling and personal healing. Dropping in tandem with her first studio album in a decade, this genre-bending Amazon original showcases her journey to love through her own eyes. With fantastical costumes, breathtaking choreography, and star-studded cameos (including legendary rapper Fat Joe, rising popstar Kim Petras, Post Malone, Keke Palmer and Lopez’s husband, Ben Affleck, who inspired the accompanying album), this panorama is an introspective retrospective of Lopez’s resilient heart.
As fans await the entire visual experience, Lopez has dropped a first look and listen of “This Is Me…Now” with the release of the album’s first single – and partial filmic sequence – “Can’t Get Enough”. Interpolating a sample of Alton Ellis’ 1967 reggae hit “I’m Still in Love”, Lopez returns to her urban-pop roots on the track that calls to mind the chart-topping successes she was known for earlier in her career. Inspired by her reunion with now-husband Ben Affleck, Lopez wrote the song about their two-decade-long rekindling, and ultimately performed it at their wedding in August, 2022.
This Is Me…Now, both the visual film and full-length studio album, will be released through Nuyorican Productions and BMG on February 16th, 2024.
