If you thought 2020 wasn’t scary enough, check out horror short Bill

Sketchbook Pictures

Bill, recently released by Sketchbook PicturesDan Gitsham and Sophie Mair, might only clock in around the three minute mark, but it certainly makes an impact.

Featuring Roxanna Vilk as a woman trying desperately to contact her dead husband, the horror short is eerie, suspenseful, and lingers long after the final scare.

Inspired by the ghost their kids would speak to (yikes!), Bill ticked off a series of challenges for Gitsham and Mair. It was filmed in their own home, using their own props, and in a single day!

If you’re feeling brave, you can view the full thing below. Otherwise, keep on scrolling for more info about the creators!

Partners in both life and film, Gitsham and Mair have been working together since 2007, specialising in horror shorts. Their films have screened at over 150 festivals and scooped up plenty of awards in the process. Highlights includes the nine minute Ella, starring Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s Anthony Head, funded by the UK Film Council. Upcoming short The Thing That Ate The Birds marks their most ambitious project to date, and work has already begun on the duo’s first feature, Ginger, in conjunction with the BFI.
