Foxtel confirm return date for second half of The Walking Dead’s seventh season

AMC sure do love splitting their most successful shows up, axing seasons in two with months between blocks. It’s a trend that they’ve been going at for a few years now and The Walking Dead’s seventh season is no exception, having just finished their traditional 8-episode block before taking a break.

Australians will be happy to know that Foxtel are still committed to airing the show express from the U.S when it returns, today confirming that the blockbuster series will be coming back to FX on Monday 13th February, 2017 at 1:30pm AEDT (traditionally it will repeat a screening at 7:30pm same night followed by the respective episode of Talking Dead).

The theme for the second half of season seven seems to be “Rise Up”, indicating that Rick Grimes and his team will start pushing back against the ever-looming threat of Negan, a character who made his presence felt at the beginning of this season with the internet-breaking premiere.

Fox has been named as the exclusive international home of The Walking Dead, a show for which they launched the first ever global simultaneous release back in 2010. More information can be found HERE.
