Foxtel brings epic Game of Thrones graveyard to Sydney

With the final epic season just around the corner, Foxtel is giving Sydney Game of Thrones fans a unique chance to mourn lost characters with a deliciously eerie art installation dubbed ‘Grave of Thrones’.

(Oh and, yes, this article will contain spoilers)

Situated inside Centennial Park, ‘Grave of Thrones’ features an extraordinary collection of tombstones and mausoleums, all dedicated to the characters we’ve bid farewell to over the previous seven seasons – some with a little more enthusiasm than others, it has to be said.

Created for Foxtel by DDB Sydney, Revolver/Will O’Rourke and The Glue Society, ‘Grave of Thrones’ has brought together some of Australia’s top sculptors, designers, painters, and builders, and the end result is pretty incredible.

From the much loved characters like the Starks and Khal Drogo, to series villains like Joffrey Lannister and Ramsay Bolton, the team has crafted a truly incredible graveyard, with each memorial drawing inspiration from both the life and death of the individual.

Don’t miss your chance to pay tribute both to your long lost favourites and to a television series phenomenon that has been almost impossible to ignore over the last few years.

‘Grave of Thrones’ is open at Centennial Park, Sydney from today, and will be open 7am-6pm all weekend. For more information, including an exhibition map, check out the website.

The final season of Game of Thrones premieres worldwide on Monday April 15th AEST.
