That’s right. Set to join the Burr Steers’ directed horror comedy is British actor Matt Smith. Playing Mr. Collins, Smith joins a cast which includes Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) and Sam Riley (Control), The Hollywood Reporter has announced. The film, which is based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s mash-up comedy take on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, sees the traditional heroine Lizzie Bennett (to be played by Lily James) bucking the trends established for women in Victorian England by defending humankind against the rising zombie plague.

When considering Smith’s roles post-Who, which have seen him take to the stage in American Psycho, work with Ryan Gosling on the now titled Lost River and most recently, work alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger on Terminator: Genysis, this is going to be another entertaining notch on what is now a growing, eclectic resume!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies will start shooting on September 24th and will be released in 2015.
