First trailer has dropped for Point Break remake

Classic 1991 action film Point Break is getting a remake which is set to release later this year and the first trailer for it has dropped.

The trailer shows FBI Agent Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey, in the original Keanu Reeves) is tracking down an elite group of athletes who are using their skills to pull off large scale robberies and heists, and their led by the charming Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez, in the original Patrick Swayze) In order to catch them he must become one of them and infiltrate their group.

Aside from our two leads swapping their hair colour around, the trailer gives us a brief look at all the adrenaline pumping action sequences that will be in the film. We’ve got some skydiving, base jumping, motocross and the iconic big wave surfing.

Point Break will release in Australian cinemas on 1st January 2016 through Roadshow Pictures.
