Dame Maggie Smith stars in The Lady in the Van, a silver screen comedy adapted by Alan Bennett from his own memoir and stage play. The story follows a woman named Miss Shepherd, who ends up parking her van in Bennett’s driveway and ends up living there for no less than 15 years. Directed by Nicholas Hytner, this poignant film explores how two strangers will go on to develop a relationship that will change their lives forever.
