First movies confirmed for Australia’s exclusive Pixar Film Festival

Late last year it was reported that Australia would be getting it’s first ever Pixar Film Festival, presented by Disney Pixar, encouraging us all to get nostalgic about our all-time favourite Pixar films and revisit them in some of the nation’s most frequented cinemas. The runs through February for 5 consecutive weekends and is exclusive to Event Cinemas, Greater Union, Birch Carroll & Coyle, and Village Cinemas across Australia.

Kicking off on February 21st, the Pixar Film Festival will begin with a line-up of Toy Story, The Incredibles, A Bug’s Life, Cars, and Up!.

Children of all ages are encouraged to attend the festival dressed as their favourite Disney Pixar character for the chance to win the “Best-Dressed” award. Themed activities will also be taking place prior to each session. For every child’s ticket purchased guests will also receive an exclusive Disney Pixar booklet and mini collector card introducing the new characters from Disney Pixar’s newest animation-comedy Inside Out, which takes viewers on a journey through the most extraordinary location of all – inside the mind. Children will be able to collect “Anger”, “Fear”, “Sadness”, “Disgust”, and “Joy” with each film session ticket purchased.

Tickets to any one session are $8 each and can be purchased online at Event or Village cinemas websites.
