Ever want to record your own song? Applications now open for new ABC series The Recording Studio

The ABC will open the doors of its world class recording studios to everyday Australians, asking the question, if you could record just one song, what would it be? Be it a personal tale, or a pop hit waiting to grace the ears of the world, The Recording Studio is promising to offer a fresh take on what it takes to create music.

The factual entertainment series will enable everyday Australians to record the most important song of their life, all while diving into the stories and work that go into their production. Guided by Australia’s top musical producers, directors and engineers, the ABC will look to offer participants the opportunity of a lifetime.

However, the show will not base itself around the quest for a number one hit, but rather on the transformative power of music, and the many ways it can change and enrich people’s lives.

ABC and Fremantle Media Australia are searching for participants with a need to celebrate, overcome personal issues, or simply to reach out to others through music.

ABC will work in partnership with Fremantle Media Australia, as The Recording Studio will air on ABC sometime in 2019. For more information on how to apply, you can click here.
