Eric Bana returns in first-look image for Force of Nature: The Dry 2

With over $20 million in Australian box office takings, The Dry surged as one of the top grossing films in Australian history upon its release in 2021.  No doubt hoping to emulate that success, director Robert Connolly and lead actor/producer Eric Bana are returning to the mysterious fray in Force of Nature: The Dry 2, which Roadshow Films announced today will arrive in Australian and New Zealand cinemas on August 24th, 2023.

Based on the best-selling novel by Jane Harper, Force of Nature sees Bana returning as Aaron Falk, a federal agent who heads deep into the Victorian mountain ranges to investigate the disappearance of a woman who took part in a 5-strong corporate hiking retreat.  When only 4 come out on the other side, Falk and his partner, Carmen Cooper, explore the area in the hopes of finding their whistle-blowing informant alive.

“We are delighted to announce that Force of Nature: The Dry 2 will come to cinemas this year. We know that audiences are going to embrace this film as much as they did with ‘The Dry’, and we can’t wait for them to see it on the big screen,” noted Roadshow Films CEO Joel Pearlman as the first-look image of Bana was released.

Jeremy Lindsay-Taylor similarly returns as Erik Falk, with new cast members Richard Roxburgh, Tony Briggs, Kenneth Radley, Anna Torv, Sisi Stringer, Deborra-lee-Furness, Robin McLeavy, Lucy Ansell, and Jacqueline McKenzie.

Force of Nature: The Dry 2 is scheduled for release in Australian and New Zealand theatres on August 24th, 2023.
