It has been announced that actor Elijah Wood will be joining the cast of the upcoming BBC America Comedy, Dirk Gently.
The series, set to be written and directed by Max Landis, will see Wood play the title detective assistant Todd.
AMC Studios, Ideate Media and IDW Entertainment are co-producing the series, based on the Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency books by author Douglas Adams.
Dirk Gently has been described as an “absurdist comedy” and will feature Wood’s character and the detective team to solve an overarching mystery through the course of the season.
Expect more casting news to emerge as production on the series ramps up.
