Elder Scrolls Online reveals first DLC of the year – “Thieves Guild”

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, the MMORPG, kicks off the new year with details on the next upcoming DLC pack called the “Thieves Guild”. Bethesda announced that the DLC will allow players to join the iconic Thieves Guild – an organization of pickpockets, burglars and robbers, and thieves.

The Thieves Guild DLC story line will revolve around a mercenary guard force known as the Iron Wheel. The relentless organisation will stop at nothing until the guild is brought to justice for a high-stakes heist that went south. As a new recruit, players will sneak along rooftops, steal from the shadows and recover lost treasures to help restore the guild’s reputation.

In addition to the guild, the update will also feature a new location called Hew’s Bane which will be available for characters of all levels and will be the home of Abah’s Landing where the Thieves Guild’s headquarters are located. The update also promises players hours of new exciting story content and quests that will take players through all their favourite areas of Tamriel.

Other confirmed features and content in the DLC include:
• A challenging, new 12-player trial: Maw of Lorkhaj
• Formidable new group bosses and delves to conquer
• The addition of new criminal activities
• A new passive skill line exclusive to members of the Thieves Guild
• Unique costumes, motifs, and item sets inspired by the Guild.

As with all released content for The Elder Scrolls Online, the upcoming DLC will follow the same format and will come in two parts – the DLC game pack and the base game patch.

So far there is no word on the release date and pricing, but Bethesda has stated that more details on the DLC will be coming soon in the next following weeks.
