Deadpool comes out on top of the Australian box office

The Deadpool movie only landed on Australian screens a few days ago but it’s already shattered Aussie box office records, accounting for 78% of gross box office numbers on opening day.

According to Fox, the movie raked in AUD$2.94M – making it the the 3^rd biggest opening day in 20^th Century Fox history.

The Iris’ Carina Nilma said that “from the opening ridiculous credit sequences to the amusing post credit scene this film is a gattling gun of jokes being fired.”

Deadpool is in cinemas now.
