Benedict Cumberbatch set to steal Christmas as The Grinch takes another stab at the big screen

During Universal Pictures’ CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas this week, Chris Meledandri (Illumination Entertainment) announced that Benedict Cumberbatch will voice the title character in the upcoming remake of Dr. Suess’s beloved holiday classic.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas will re-tell the classic tale of the Grinch’s plot to steal Christmas from the endearing residents of Whoville.

Pete Candeland and Yarrow Cheney are set to direct.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas is slated for release in November 2017.
