Batter up Walking Dead fans: Jeffrey Dean Morgan added to Sydney’s Walker Stalker Con

With Australia’s very first Walker Stalker Con, a pop convention dedicated entirely to The Walking Dead, a matter of months away, the line-up of special guests heading down under has seen a slight change. Lauren Cohen, who plays Maggie on the monstrously popular show, is sadly no longer able to make either the Sydney or Melbourne dates, and while a replacement for Melbourne is yet to be announced, this means that Sydney will now get big bad Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Morgan, who fans know as jovial barbed wire bat-wielding super-villain Negan, will be joining the already announced line-up in Sydney which includes Norman Reedus (Daryl), Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Alanna Masterson (Tara), Ross Marquand (Aaron), Katelyn Nacon (Enid), Tom Payne (Jesus), Chandler Rigs (Carl), Austin Amelio (Dwight), and Christian Serratos (Rosita).

Both Sydney and Melbourne are still set to get plenty of Walking Dead guests added to the line-up before the convention hits Australia in February, all of whom will be on hand to meet fans, pose for photos, sign autographs, participate in on-stage interviews and do other pop culture convention related activities, like secretly laugh at us for trying to dress as them.

There’s also going to be a bunch of other activities to keep fans busy across the two-day convention outside of the free celebrity Q&A panels. A horde of talented tattoo and graphic artists will be on-hand, as well as the team from FX who are building a special themed compound filled with all sorts of Walking Dead activations, including “Escape the Biters” which tasks participants with walking, running and crawling their way to survival while they hunt for supplies and try to avoid walkers. Various other vendors who deal in comic, entertainment, zombie and other pop culture genres will also be there, while zombies and cosplayers alike roam around the convention.

Tickets are on sale for both the Sydney and Melbourne conventions now and can be purchased HERE.
