All hail Baby Groot! A new trailer for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 has dropped

In case you missed it, earlier today Marvel gifted us a brand new teaser trailer for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2. And in true GOTG style it’s packed with action, humour and classic rock.

A lot of hype is already surrounding the next installment for Guardians Of The Galaxy, particularly after its surprise breakout success amongst the Marvel lineup last year. The first film was touted as a gamble and roll of the dice for Marvel, utilising little known characters from their comic realm and integrating them into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

This brand new trailer shows our heroes going up against a very large alien and a very large group of not-so-friendly spaceships. As well as Rocket Raccoon trying to train Baby Groot in the use of a nuclear bomb all set to the classic rock band Sweet’s “Fox On The Run”.

Director James Gunn has previously told the Hollywood Reporter that the plot of this next film has been intentionally kept under wraps. So we can only glean a few nuggets of info from this latest trailer and it really doesn’t give away much about the plot at all. But the most important thing is that Star Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax The Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) are all back together and are getting up to shenanigans.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 will release in Australian cinemas on 25 April 2017.
