You can now get Golden Gaytime milkshakes and doughnuts in Australia

OTT dessert drinks are here to stay, get used to it. Those who embrace the trend have been one-upping each other for awhile now, and legendary queue magnet Burgers By Josh may have just won the game by introducing an alcoholic Golden Gaytime milkshake to the burger joint’s menu at The Annandale. Though a spiked honeycomb ice cream shake should be enough to satisfy those constantly seeking out anything to do with Streets’ sought after creation, the milkshake isn’t quite the end of the story; Doughnut Time have also announced that they are doing limited edition Golden Gaytime Doughnuts from this weekend.

First let’s get to BBJ. For one week only, Josh will be offering this Golden Gaytime Krusher Milkshake at his extended Annandale residency, right along with the regular menu and the current ‘burger of the week’, the Zingar Stackar, a burger with two JFC Zingar chicken fillets, buttery mash, rich gravy, and coleslaw.

The milkshake is said to be made with Galliano Vanilla liqueur, honeycomb vanilla ice cream, blended honeycomb biscuits, a topping of chocolate caramel, and – of course – milk.

Those who want Golden Gaytime doughnuts should turn towards another dominant food brand, Doughnut Time. The now inescapable chain will be introducing their latest limited edition special from this Saturday, the It’s Always A Gay Time doughnut. It’s a handmade beast with milk chocolate glaze, crushed biscuits, golden caramelised crepes, and a filling of gooey honeycomb custard. The best thing about this one is that it’s not just confined to Sydney either; the Brisbane born doughnut chain will be selling these at all their stores, so that includes those in Brisbane, Melbourne, and on the Gold Coast.
