If your Margarita order says more about you than your star sign, Iris Rooftop is ready to introduce you to your cocktail alter ego.
Perched high above Hotel X in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, the Spanish-inspired rooftop bar is stretching World Margarita Day (February 22nd) into a six-week sky-high celebration, running from Wednesday, 18th February through to Sunday, 29th March. While the rest of the world raises a salted rim for just one day, Iris is keeping the tequila flowing with a personality-packed Patrón Margarita menu and a cheeky “What’s Your Flavour?” quiz to match.
The concept is simple: are you classic, spicy, fruity or cool? Each Margarita persona comes with its own flavour profile – and its own tapas pairing – turning every round into a conversation starter.
Meet Your Margarita Match
The Spicy One
Bold, confident and not afraid of a little heat, this Margarita brings the attitude. It’s paired with Tomate Triturado en Pan for a punchy, vibrant combo.
The Classic One
Clean, balanced and timeless, this is the Margarita for purists who like theirs done properly. It’s matched with a refined Crab Tostada.
The Fruity One
Playful, vibrant and instantly likeable, this flavour suits the social butterfly of the group. It comes alongside Tomato & Oregano Croquettes with Chimmi Rojo.
The Cool One
Smooth, chilled and indulgent, this is a mini holiday in a glass. Expect it paired with Baked Half-Shell Scallops.
Guests can sip their chosen persona solo for $19, or elevate the experience with the Tequila & Tapas pairing for $34, matching each Margarita with its corresponding bite.
But the fun doesn’t stop there.
Iris’s popular Más Margaritas sessions will run every Sunday from 11.30am to 3.30pm, featuring 90 minutes of bottomless Patrón Margarita trees alongside a Spanish banquet. With live music and sweeping rooftop views, it’s a spirited way to extend the Margarita Month mood well beyond February 22nd. The experience is priced at $88 per person (or $78 for mocktails).
Whether it’s date night, a hen’s party or a long-overdue group catch-up, Iris is leaning into flirty, sunset-soaked vibes and encouraging guests to “tag your mates, sip your match” – with a social media competition offering one lucky group of four the chance to win their own Más Margaritas experience.
