Vin diemen returns to bring a piece of Tasmania to Sydney and Melbourne

For its second year highlighting the renowned island of produce better known as Tasmania, Vin Diemen returns to both Melbourne and Sydney, bringing with it a curated line up of wine, produce, and other beverages from the popular island state. Bringing the taste of Tasmania to the mainland since last year, the event plans to build on the success of its debut when it takes place this August.

The team behind Wine Tasmania created the event with support from Bottle Shop Concepts who are the team behind yearly concept wine events like Pinot Palooza and Game of Rhones. Both teams have been busy putting together a program which builds upon last year’s excellent showcase which featured wines from the likes of Josef Chromy and Holm Oak along with spirits from Lark Distillery (we hope there’s plenty of Forty Spotted Gin this year) and cider from Willie Smith Cider. The line up is expected to roll out over the next couple of weeks, promising a range of sparkling, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, all showcased by some of Tasmania’s leading producers.

Vin Diemen will first take at Melbourne’s Meat Market on Sunday 21st August, kicking off at 11am and wrapping up around 5pm. The following weekend, the event will move to the National Art School in Sydney, taking up the Cell Block Theatre for six hours of fine Tasmanian produce. Tickets to both events will be $40 in an early-bird sale and $50 in a general sale, with tickets available in June. All tickets include a take-home premium wine glass.

Stay tuned to the AU review for the full line-up of producers, but while we wait you can grab more details about the event HERE.
