Renowned dining and retail group Fratelli Fresh has officially been scooped up by hospitality collective Urban Purveyor Group, adding an enormous amount to their already rich portfolio, which has already seen a rapid expansion in the previous months with a forthcoming Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a massive move for their acclaimed Ananas Bar & Brasserie, and big Melbourne moves for Sake. This acquisition means that all six restaurants (five Café Sopra and Café Cafe Nice) and four fresh produce retail outlets under the Fratelli Fresh flag will join UPG, swelling the business to now include 26 venues, including 10 dining and entertainment brands.
“Fratelli Fresh, including Café Sopra and Café Nice, hold a special place in the hearts of Sydneysiders and we are excited to add such an amazing and much-loved business and innovative team to our group,” said Thomas Pash, Urban Purveyor Group’s Chief Executive Officer. “The inclusion of a casual, full-service Italian restaurant group enables us to aggressively enter one of the largest global dining sectors with a business that we believe can easily and quickly expand alongside our other recognised and respected brands.”
