Top hotels in Australia named as TripAdvisor reveal 2018 Travellers’ Choice Awards

Pinetrees Lodge on Lord Howe Island has been crowned the number one hotel in Australia at TripAdvisor’s recent 2018 Traveller’s Choice Awards. The six generation family-run property, with an average annual pricing from AU$986 per night, picks up top honours on the list for a second consecutive year while properties all across Australia round out the top 10.

The reputable annual awards also announced winners in various categories concerning accommodation, from “Top Budget Hotels” and “Top Family-Friendly Hotels” to “Top B&Bs” and “Top Hotels for Romance”. It appears that Perth’s highly acclaimed COMO the Treasury is still wow’ing travellers as it appears across numerous categories, cementing it as one of the most sought after stays in the South Pacific region.

“From island resorts, heritage hotels to secluded country boltholes, the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice awards highlights the best accommodation Australia has to offer”, said TripAdvisor spokesperson Grant Colquhoun. “These winners are recognised for remarkable service, value and quality and offer great hotel inspiration to travellers looking to plan their 2018 getaways”.

All winners of the awards are determined based on the ridiculous amount of reviews and opinions posted on TripAdvisor, collected in a single year from travellers worldwide. You can check out the full list of winners below, separated by category.
