The Australian Museum gets a leafy new cafe with The Garden Shed (Sydney)

In good news for art lovers planning on checking out the current exhibitions at the Australian Museum, the beloved CBD institution on William Street has just received a leafy new pop-up cafe with a dedicated crepe menu and coffee coming from reliable local roasters The Little Marionette. Dubbed The Garden Shed, the bright and breezy space has made use of the museum’s outdoor seating area as Sydney pushes into the summer season.

Create Consultants are behind the new cafe, and their Group Executive Chef Keith Jones has been tasked with creating a quick and light menu for art-lovers to enjoy in the sunny courtyard alongside cakes based in-house and a selection of organic teas, soft drinks, milkshakes, and local wines and beers. The crepe selection is the main part of it, with fillings including cheddar and spinach; ground beef with cheddar and Napoli sauce; nutella and banana; dark chocolate strawberry and coconut; and lemon and sugar.
