Terindah Estate open boutique wine bar on their Bellarine Peninsula property (VIC)

Peter and Cate Slattery purchased the postcard-worthy Terindah Estate back in 2000, with the vision to create a beautiful food and wine destination worthy of Bellarine Peninsula’s spectacular views. At the start of the summer, Terindah Estate’s new boutique wine bar, The Deck, opened for patrons looking for a new out-of-city escape. The venue is just what the Slattery’s imagined, as The Deck wraps around the Estate’s cellar, offering a picturesque sight that overlooks Port Phillip Bay, lush open lawns, and manicured vineyards.

Perfect for a weekend getaway or a simple day trip, The Deck is located 80 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD and 20 minutes from Geelong, with travelling made easier with the recent launch of Port Phillip Ferries between Docklands and Portarlington, with free bus services on hand to assist you with the day’s venture around the Estates.

Focusing on simplicity and French-inspired small plates, The Deck have a variety to offer including, duck terrine, pork rillettes and cornichons, and Camembert Conquerent, all of which are served to enjoy with Terindah Estate’s house baked bread and their signature wines.

For those visiting from Thursday through to Sunday, a more traditional lunchtime or dining experience is available downstairs at The Shed. Their kitchen is home Executive Chef Lyndon Betts, who has meticulously crafted a menu built around the fresh, seasonal produce from local suppliers.
