Skechers open their very first Sydney CBD store

U.S-born footwear giant Skechers have finally found the ideal location for their debut Sydney CBD store, coming after an aggressive rollout of openings over the past few years has seen the brand make a big impact in 13 other suburbs across the city.

Operating as one of their largest stores, with the brand’s full range including men’s and women’s performance and lifestyle as well as a large kids’ collection (performance, lifestyle and school), the Pitt Street store marks an important evolution for the brand’s market presence in Australia. Known for their focus on comfort and reliability, the brand has footprints in Chatswood, Eastergarden, Homebush, Warringah, Parramatta, Miranda, Hornsby, Castle Towers, Liverpool, Wetherill Park, Blacktown, Macarthur and Erina; this is in addition to stores in other Australian cities. This brings the number of Skechers stores across Australia and New Zealand to over 70 retail outlets, in addition to their new e-commerce website and in department, specialty and independent stores.

Sydney CBD’s new store opens following the recent announcement of Skechers YOU, a new offering designed for women that combines approaches to lifestyle and wellness. Defining the range are responsive, cushioned insoles, presenting a lightweight sneaker that has been constructed with soft woven mesh fabric, said to provide breathability and freedom of movement. The Skechers YOu is made available from all Skechers outlets in six colours and retails for $149.95 (lace-up style) and $119.95 (slip-ons).
