QT Hotels across Australia to tackle 2020 stress with in-room meditation programs

Over the past few years, the idea of wellness and mental health has become increasingly entwined with classic conceptions of hospitality, focused on providing truly restorative stays and getting to the heart of why people take vacations to begin with.

From the jungle-entrenched eco-resorts in Bali, to high-end hotels in major cities like London, New York City and Sydney – places where peace of mind are most readily juxtaposed against the constant hustle – paying attention to wellness and wellbeing is now as key to hospitality as the ever-important, generously stocked (and preferably, open) mini-bar.

It seems Australia’s beloved QT Hotels & Resorts are ready to take their already admirable wellness initiatives to the next level, introducing in-room meditation programs for guests across their seven highly regarded properties.

QT teamed up with Soul Alive’s “Chief Soul Officer” Luke McLeod in response to 2020s dire impact on mental health and wellbeing, tasking him with curating bespoke meditations for guests.

“With the additional stress and anxiety COVID-19 has brought into our lives, it’s more important than ever to take time to look after our mental wellbeing,” said McLeod. “Soul Alive’s mission has always been to make meditation as easy and enjoyable as possible. And what better way to do that then from the comfort of a luxury QT Room?”

“We’re excited to be giving guests 24-7 access to feel clear, calm and confident”.

Once checked-in, guests can use their in-room screens for complimentary access to “Get Grounded, Gorgeous” – three categories of meditation styles, curated across “Recharge”, “Relax”, and “Kickstart”. Each have been carefully shaped for zen enthusiasts of all levels, whether they have only flirted with the idea of meditation or have already unlocked the undeniable power of mindfulness and are comfortably sitting on the higher plateau of Hinduism.

While the “Get Grounded, Gorgeous” program is more than likely this program will also extend to QT’s growing New Zealand portfolio, it’s currently only available at Sydney, Bondi, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Gold Coast, and Falls Creek QTs.
