Qatar Airways confirm May launch date for new Dubrovnik flights

As if one of the most popular destinations in Europe wasn’t accessible enough already, Qatar Airways have confirmed 18th May 2020 as the official launch date for a new three-times weekly service to Dubrovnik.

Operated with an Airbus A320, the route will join Zagreb to become Qatar Airways’ second destination in Croatia.

The service will be bumped up to five-times weekly from 15th June to 4th October, giving a big nod to Dubrovnik’s plentiful social and cultural scene – one which has seen the Croatian city rise as one of the most sought after vacations on the continent.

Doha-Dubrovnik (QR367) departs 07:00hrs and arrives at 11:35hrs. The return leg (QR368) departs Dubrovnik at 12:40hrs and arrives in Doha at 18:45hrs. On launch, this will be for Monday, Thursday and Friday, with Sunday and Wednesday added for the June-Oct season.

Qatar, which operates to over 160 destinations around the globe, was named the 2019 Airline of the Year by the authoritative Skytrax and will celebrate their seemingly endless stream of awards by growing substantially this year.

Seasonal flights to Santorini will boost Qatar’s European season during the same launch week.

“We are pleased to confirm that we will be adding Dubrovnik to our global network in 2020, with this exciting new destination joining Zagreb to become our second gateway to the beautiful country of Croatia,” offered Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker. “The addition of Dubrovnik and a further seasonal route to Santorini, Greece, in May, will expand the Qatar Airways network to over 170 passenger destinations, further consolidating our position as one of the world’s most connected airlines.”

The seasonal flights to Dubrovnik will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft, featuring 12 seats in Business Class and 132 seats in Economy Class.

An exact date has not been confirmed for the forthcoming Osaka route, except it will happen sometime in April, coming with five weekly flights at first, and then expanding to daily.
