Pier One Sydney Harbour introduces smokehouse shack The Kerrigan

Equipped with a custom-made wood-burning grill and on-site smokery, The Kerrigan has popped up in the premium surrounds of Pier One Sydney Harbour, that stunning property that pretty much sits under the Harbour Bridge and is also home to the excellence of The Gantry. The aim is to add to the great BBQ renaissance that’s sweeping Sydney, offering up a new perspective by the Walsh Bay waterside, popped up in the charming little backyard area of the celebrated hotel.

Sourced from Black Forest Smokehouse, meats on the menu are smoked for up to 14 hours and delivered with a range of homemade sauces, rubs, and glazes. Think slow-cooked lamb and pork ribs with sweet sauce and a side of slaw, or smoked brisket that’s been carved and served in soft tortillas with salsa. Also on the menu are chook wings that come fried or marinated with an Indonesian or Korean style dressing, charred king prawns with chorizo and black garlic mayo, and of course a signature burger with house-made pickles and sauce, served with a side of roasted sweet potatoes and paprika sour cream. There’ll be a daily changing hot dog option, served on a roll with sauerkraut, cucumber, and a green chili pickle.
