Piccolo Me are now serving a Nutella and Malteser fried ice-cream dessert (Sydney)

Sydney brand Piccolo Me are known for their indulgent savoury and sweet creations, delivering everything from Nerdtella Bombs to Cheeseburger Crossaints. They are best known for their playful, quirky creations and reliable cups of coffee, but now they are looking to be recognised for one of the country’s most ridiculously over-the-top, and highly tempting, desserts: The Fried Maltella.

The Fried Maltella is a monstrous deep-fried, hot and cold dessert of fried Nutella ice-cream and crushed Maltesers with caramel sauce. It’s excessive, sticking with the trend of boundary-pushing desserts but taking things to a whole new level. Sydney already went absolutely insane over Tella Ball shakes, so we’ve got a feeling that these will be snapped up quickly this week – the only week the dessert is available.

As of two days ago (25th Jan), Piccolo Me are offering the super-sized dessert at their Macquarie Store for $20 each according to Daily Telegraph. A smaller version is also available for half the price.
