Sydney’s Burger Head is doing up a hot cheetoh fried chicken burger

“This one looks like it’d fit right into the movie Pineapple Express”, write Sydney’s feverishly popular Burger Head on Facebook, referring to the restaurant’s weekly special.

As with several of the city’s most popular burger spots, Penrith-born Burger Head does up a unique and inventive burger each week which is almost always lapped up in typically speedy fashion by the restaurant’s large loyal following.

This week, that burger is the “Cheetoh Express”, with the simple but genius combination of candied bacon, liquid cheese sauce, flamin’ hot cheetoh fried chicken, and maple aioli.

Over the past few years, Burger Head has steadily grown into one of the most anticipated on Sydney’s hyper-competitive burger circuit. With a trio of fine-dining chefs behind the concept, it didn’t take long after its 2017 opening for Burger Head to become a destination in Greater Western Sydney. That has since expanded to include a dedicated food truck which currently hops between Bella Vista and Strathfield throughout the week.

The Cheetoh Express will be available from the Penrith venue up until Sunday, from the food truck in Bella Vista Wednesday and Monday, and from the food truck in Strathfield Friday through Sunday.
