‘Create Action Now: Australia’s newest vodka-soda mix is out to make in impact

Consuming alcohol might help slow the brain down and shed a bit of that lockdown anxiety, which explains why alcohol brands have been making bank this year, but rarely does drinking one come with the knowledge that you’re also making a positive impact on the world. C.A.N is out to change that. Australia’s newest vodka soda mix is hinged on the very idea of creating immediate action.

In fact, C.A.N stands for “Create Action Now”, with 10% of all profits from the flavour-forward vodka-soda going to land, water, and air conservation efforts. Plus, it plays into the ever-growing trend of low-cal, sugar drinks like seltzers that have been really kicking all kinds of goals in the alcohol industry as of late.

C.A.N has just launched in Australia with two initial flavours – Ruby Grapefruit and Pineapple & Passionfruit – and has already donated $5k upfront of Conversation Volunteers Australia’s “Sea to Source” project, which is focused on engaging the community to stop plastics and other little from entering our oceans at the source.

Given the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the world in profound ways, C.A.N is a nice arrival into the local market and aligns with various other products that are committed to making an impact far beyond their initial use. The recent, dire, news about the acceleration of climate change is already making this option look like a necessary wake-up for the popular RTD market, which has probably been printing money in the past few years due to a significant surge in interest.

C.A.N is available online at Boozebud and at local bottle shops and bars across Australia now.
