Air New Zealand introduces 787-9 Dreamliner for direct service between Sydney and Cook Islands

Air New Zealand have just taken a big, comfortable leap forward for passengers hopping on the popular direct route between Sydney and Cook Islands hub Rarotonga. As of this past week the highly regarded airline have upgraded their aircraft on the route to operate a 787-9 Dreamliner, bringing a superior option for those looking to explore Cook Islands’ dreamy crystal clear turquoise lagoons and famously laid back lifestyle.

Features such as lie flat Business Premier beds and comfortable Premium Economy seats have come to define the 787-9 as one of the best choices of the fleet, bolstered by Air New Zealand’s new “Economy Skycouch” product which is also made available on this route, allowing customers to book a row of three economy seats with customised footrests that raise to a horizontal position, creating a flat space to relax.

The direct Sydney-Rarotonga service will operate once per week with a six hour flight duration, arriving in Rarotonga early in the morning so passengers minimise the time they lose on-ground.
