A slice of Tasmania is coming to Meat Market South Wharf this month (Melbourne)

Tasmania is one of those rites of passage for Australia’s food lovers that’s hard to forget. The produce found throughout the country powers some of the best parts of this country’s great food scene, so it’s always an exciting prospect when a showcase from the apple isle travels up to other states. In this case, a slice of Tasmania is coming to Melbourne’s popular produce driven Meat Market on South Wharf later this month, particularly Josef Chromy Wines from Launceston.

Curated into a “Discover Tasmania Wine Lunch” the event will be a long leisurely weekend dining experience set to kick off at 12:30pm on Sunday 23rd October, offering guests the chance to chow down on Tasmanian-inspired flavours from Meat Market’s Head Chef Mostafa Morshed. The lunch will of course be fueled by plenty of wine from Josef Chromy while diners take in that vast view of Melbourne’s Yarra River.
