A massive Salts Meats Cheese has opened in Sydney’s Dee Why

Salt Meats Cheese has long been a stalwart of reliable Italian produce and dining in Australia. The group have been expanding rapidly over the past few years, so it was only a matter of time before Sydney’s Northern Beaches got their first taste of Edoardo Perlo and Stefano de Blasi’s lively concept.

Following their most recent venture into Cronulla, Salt Meats Cheese have now given Dee Why its biggest venue to date with over 240 square metres carved out on the ground floor of The Lighthouse by Meriton. That’s enough room for around 120 diners, all of whom can expect a quality grazing menu of pastas, pizza, cocktails and desserts.

“Dee Why is the biggest venue we’ve ever opened. We wanted to create a new space that would perfectly cater to the community and create a restaurant where large groups of friends or families could enjoy, just like the dining style we’re used to back home,” said de Blasi. “Dee Why is the heart of the Northern Beaches and we’re thrilled to join the fold.”

Dishes confirmed for the menu so far include Crab Tagliolini with blue swimmer crab with zucchini and chilli; signature Balmain Bugs, with broad beans, nduja oil and tomato; and of course SMC’s reliable pizza with various classic toppings including Margherita, Proscuitto, Capricciosa, Vegetarian and Buffalo.

In the coming weeks, SMC will be opening a CBD rooftop bar for Sydney which should be a nice addition to the spat of world-class bars the city has welcomed in the past few months.
