Sennheiser brings its $500 Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds to Australia

Sennheiser recently released the second generation of its acclaimed noise cancelling earbuds in Australia. Dubbed the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds, the AU$500 pins are impressively specced and boast a surprising battery life of up to 28 hours.

Given the Momentum series has always been reliable when it comes to both performance and design, these pins promise a high standard of sound quality and very stable connectivity using Bluetooth 5.1, SBC, AAC and aptX.

We’ll be road testing them for a full review in the coming week, but for now it’s looking like Sennheiser is right on the money with the spec sheet. The buds are IPX4 rated, only weigh a featherlight 6g, and are available in white and black. As mentioned above, 28 hours is the goal for the battery with 7 hours playback boosted by a slim 58g charging case.

A common issue with its predecessor was unexpected battery drain in the case, working against its very design. Here, it seems Sennheiser has made addressing that issue a priority. If they deliver on the promised juice, that bests both Apple’s Airpods Pro and Sony’s WF-1000XM3 sets.

The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds are now available in Australia for an RRP of AU$499.95.
