Track of the Week: Camp Cope “Blue” (2021)

After three and a half years, Melbourne’s Camp Cope are back! We’re might still be champing at the bit for news about that as-yet-unannounced third album, but if latest single “Blue” is anything to go by, it’ll be worth the wait.

Softer, more relaxed, and a little more refined than the Camp Cope of old, “Blue” is a song about acceptance, about finding quiet in the chaos, and about persevering even when the world outside has very different plans.

“Blue” also marks a change in gear for the trio. Heading into the studio with no deadlines or touring schedules, the band (consisting of Georgia Maq, Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich, and Sarah Thompson) were free to take their time and create some beautiful music.

Give “Blue” a spin below, and starting getting excited for that album announcement!
