The Corner Hotel presents ‘Something for John,’ a benefit for John Hedigan

Three of Australia’s most respected acts will come together at The Corner Hotel this April for a benefit for John Hedigan. Fellow bandmates and friends Something for Kate, Clare Bowditch and Darren Middleton will join forces for what will be a very special and memorable night, as they recognise Hedigan’s achievements to date and celebrate all he has done for them.

John Hedigan was diagnosed with a brain tumour earlier this year and is currently undergoing therapy. As an act of support, all proceeds from the event will go directly to him and his family to help out during this difficult time.

“If you’ve been to a show by Something for Kate or the Paul Dempsey band in the last six years then you will have heard and seen the incredibly talented John Hedigan up there on stage-left working his magic on guitars, keyboards and backing vocals, making it all look completely effortless and generally making us all sound a whole lot better,” says Paul Dempsey. “He’s a brilliant musician as well as a professional music therapist, an enthusiastic astronomer, a friend, a husband, a father, a much-loved member of the Something for Kate family and a generally first-rate human being.”

‘Something for John’ will be held on Saturday April 18 at The Corner Hotel, Richmond. The show will feature performances from Hedigan’s friends and colleagues: Something for Kate, Clare Bowditch, Darren Middleton (Powderfinger) and more special guests.

Tickets for ‘Something for John’ go on sale this week from midday March 19 and are available from http://cornerhotel.com . If you are unable to attend the show but still wish to make a contribution to John Hedigan and his family, donations can be made on the Corner Hotel website ticketing page for this event.
