Stumbled Upon #113 – FRAANCIS (Melbourne)

Our 113th edition of ‘Stumbled Upon’ sees us introduced to the very new, but very intriguing FRAANCIS. Recently dropping their debut single “XX” online to much the favourable response, the Melbourne duo draws influence from the likes of Jordan Rakei to J Dilla, all the while whipping up a sound that reminds us of early Flume – rich and eclectic in quality.

Keep an eye out.

One studio session, a few beers = FRAANCIS.

Non existent, but mum has offered to do lighting. It’s bound to be sick.

What shows do you have coming up:
Nothing as of yet, but stay up to date on our socials 🙂

Tell us about your latest release:
It was originally a “London” instrumental formed on the Eurostar between Paris and Amsterdam which was passed on to Ben. Within two weeks and roughly seven voice memos sent between the both of us, we had “XX”. A song that was created without boundaries, something that couldn’t be more us.

Where can I get your music:
Triple J Unearthed, Soundcloud, Spotify & iTunes.
