What music or artists inspired you?
I have a pretty wide music taste because I was brought up in a household where my Dad loved Country music and Rock ’n’ Roll, whereas my Mum was a Motown, Rock and Folk fan. Elvis Presley has had a big impact on me musically I think because I’ve been a fan of his music since I was 7 years-old. I also love Disney movies and their soundtracks which I think is why I love power ballads and film score’s. In some of my songs on the album I was desperate to have strings on the tracks which I think correlates to my obsession with that type of music. In terms of country artists, Zac Brown Band have influenced my writing and a music a lot. Wyatt Durrette is one of my favourite songwriters and I also love Dolly Parton and John Denver. Just a really wide variety which I think has really helped shape my music.

How did you get started?
I’ve been singing my whole life but I started this journey professionally in July 2012 when I finished school. My parents are pensioners so they sold whatever they could in order for me to go to Nashville. That trip was a huge success and really paved the way for everything that’s happening currently. It’s crazy how life works like that.

How would you best describe your live show:
Energetic, fun, honest, intimate. The audience becomes part of my story!

What shows do you have coming up?
I’m performing in Atlanta in a few days and then I have a show in Nashville before I head back to the UK for my I Stand Alone tour to promote my debut album. I’m hoping to return for the US leg of the tour sometime in the near future. It’s amazing to get to perform all over the place. That’s the best part for me, the performing. Perhaps I’ll even make it to Australia in 2016 – I have a lot of family there so it’d be great to see them too and get to play some shows.
Keep an eye on Facebook for more dates.

Tell us about your latest release:
I released my debut album, I Stand Alone, on June 8th and it was released worldwide. The entire project was funded via Kickstarter which was a great way to get the fans involved. I’m so proud of this album, the songs are the stories of my life so far compiled into one big “rhyming diary” as I like to call it. The music is wholeheartedly me, you certainly get to know me through those songs, to the point that I feel like those who listen to it become like my close friends. It’s my baby and I’m thrilled with how well it’s been received.

‘Someone To Break My Heart’ is my first ever music video which actually features my little dog, Hami. It’s quirky and cheesy in the best possible way. I hope it makes you smile!

Where can I get your music?
