What music or artists inspired you?
Oh man, so many, I’m a pretty furious listener haha
This project is really about blending psych pop with gospel soul. So of course the classics like Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, CSN, as well as soulsters like Aretha Franklin, voices of East Harlem, Curtis Mayfield… I also get a lot of inspiration from the vocal groups like The Supremes, The Marvelettes… you’ll hear it in the way we do bv’s. There are also so many great modern bands doing incredible stuff too like Sleepy Sun, Alabama Shakes, Wooden Shjips, King Gizzard, Sharon Jones, Black Angels, Tame Impala, Michael Kiwanuka, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Dungen… We could be here all day haha

How did the band get started?
Ah well Nikki and I had been friends for some time and we got jamming on some psych pop tunes I had been working on. And we just kept on picking people up along the way. Up to 6 now I think. Like a little family! oh and we have 2 couples. Can you guess who’s with who? hee hee

How would you best describe your live show:
A good ol’ psychedelic face melting time.

What shows do you have coming up?
30th July – Our single launch! at OAF Gallery Bar, support from Bad Valley and Wild Honey
9th August – WWF fundraiser at the Factory, Marrickville
15th August – Visions psych night…

Keep an eye on Facebook for more dates.

Tell us about your latest release:
‘I Want You’ is our new single. It was a really quick process to write actually. I came up with the main riff in my bedroom one night and a week later we had a finished song. I guess it’s about the insecurities in relationships and someone wanting someone else. Unrequited love perhaps…

Where can I get your music?
Soundcloud is probably the best place for now, but our new single should be going live on spotify and iTunes pretty soon if it hasn’t already
