How did the band get started?
We met through friends but had never discussed our shared love for creating music, until the idea of recording together was formed at a Melbourne house party in 2014. Despite having different musical interest and influences, after a short first recording session, we found we had a creative chemistry that produced really exciting results. We became a band during the recording of ‘AXIS’, where this creative chemistry came to fruition.

How would you best describe your live show:
Electronica, funk, synth-pop and soul to evoke emotion & dance!

What shows do you have coming up?
The 2015 version of the aforementioned house party will be the first appearance of In Capital in the flesh. We are working on the follow-up shows right now, so look for us in venues around Melbourne very soon!

Keep an eye on Facebook for more dates.

Tell us about your latest release:
‘AXIS’ is the result of a weeklong autonomous recording experiment that took place in September 2014. The two of us recorded the EP in a house on the coast, using all our own gear. ‘AXIS’ has something for everybody we feel; brooding vocals and ambient electronic sounds combined with eighties inspired synth hooks and soaring guitar licks.

Where can I get your music?
Our first single 16 days is available through Bandcamp (and can also be found on Youtube and Soundcloud). Our debut EP ‘AXIS’ is released digitally via Shock Records, today!
