Splendour In The Grass 2023 Official Sideshows Announced

July is going to be busy. As if the prospect of heading to Byron for Splendour in the Grass isn’t enough to get us worked up into a frenzy, the official Splendour in the Grass sideshows have just been announced by Secret Sounds.

As with Splendour, there is something there to satisfy all tastes. Rock royalty is well and truly represented with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, who will be hitting the stage in Sydney and Melbourne. They have just released their fifth album, Cool It Down.

The shows from Sam Fender last year were truly epic. He shook the foundations of the Enmore when he played there last November. He is heading to Perth this time ’round.

British rapper, singer and all-round powerhouse Little Simz will be playing in Melbourne. She has won a Brit award, a Mercury Prize and released her fifth album NO THANKYOU last December. Don’t miss her.

Tove Lo will be performing in Sydney and Melbourne, supported by the dreamy trio Blusher!. Also performing in Sydney and Melbourne is the rising star  iann dior. His 2022 album on to better things has already amassed over 180 million streams.

North Carolina’s alt-indie rockers Rainbow Kitten Surprise will also be hitting Sydney and Melbourne. Beautiful harmonies, instrumentation and memorable lyrics will make their show unforgettable. Heck, they’ve already racked up over 1 billion global streams on all platforms. And with ear worm songs such as “Cocaine Jesus”, it’s going to be a fun night out.

Also coming to Sydney and Melbourne is Noah Cyrus. Famed for an electric live performance, and credentialled with a GRAMMY nomination and multiplatinum record, she is one to catch. She will be supported by  PJ Harding.

Singer-songwriter and violinist Brittney Denise Parks who performs under the moniker of  Sudan Archives, will be bringing her unique blend of R&B, traditional African music and experimental electronic sounds. She will have a full band, so you can expect to give your party shoes a solid workout.

Finally, producer and musician Del Water Gap  also hits Melbourne and Sydney. He has graced the stages of many of the major festivals around the world, and it’s overdue that he hit our local shores.
