Single of the Day: St. Albion ft. Teischa “Hold On” (2016)

You may remember us featuring the talented Teischa late last year – the year old out of Perth had a voice that made us sit up and look to the west again for some heaps good vocals. Well, Teischa’s gone and hooked up with St. Albion (headed up by Sydney producer/writer Thomas Honeywill) for the new St. Albion track “Hold On” and again, we’re stoked on it.

Teischa’s vocals shine through the shadowiness of the music, the production of which hints at some cool Flume/XXYYXX vibes. The depth of her timbre and its richness is given room to become a highlight of the piece as opposed to some kind of backing filter. The melodic synth work and the punchy beats give “Hold On” an enticing appeal that will have you no doubt replaying this tune a few times over.
