Single of the Day: PINS “Serve The Rich” (2017)

Mancunian five piece PINS have stormed on to our radar with their punchy new tune, “Serve The Rich”. From the onset, in the edgy guitars, it’s unsurprising to learn that Jamie Hince of The Kills had a part in producing this new single; “Serve The Rich” is unashamedly cocky and is delivered with a considered snarl. PINS established themselves early as a band not to be brushed off, and “Serve The Rich” further highlights this assertion.

Of the new track, the band explains its origins,

“The track is about how sometimes we feel like we only exist to make money for other people, it’s a swizz. We are promised things by saviours, these people who have come to rescue us, but it’s not true. …We as PINS, musicians, women, Labour voters and feminists, are here to save the kids, we’re here to save each other, we’re here to save ourselves.”
