Single of the Day: Max Savage “Baby Don’t Cry” (2015)

Adelaide’s Max Savage presents his latest effort in new single, “Baby Don’t Cry”, an earnest and gorgeous track that sees the songwriter pursue a more intimate and stripped back vibe – just vocals and the aid of an electric guitar. Fans will be aware of the raucous rock and roll type shows and music Savage has been excellent at producing and the electric vibe he’s been generating as a performer through this year, but this tune shows off a more isolated feel. For a songwriter who has caught our attention with some beautifully melancholic lyricism coupled with a bitingly confident rollicking rock music aesthetic, “Baby Don’t Cry” shows us that Max is also capable of bringing things back a bit while having heart on sleeve at the same time.

If you’re in Adelaide, you can catch Savage launching his album The City and Everyone Inside at the Wheatsheaf Hotel on December 5th!
