We’ve been big fans of Sydney duo Left. since first coming across them at BIGSOUND what feels like moons ago now. Since then, they have surged forward in leaps and bounds, establishing themselves as one of Sydney’s premier frontrunners for fresh new music.
In their new single “Thank Me Later”, Left.’s Sarah Corry opens up about a relationship that has reached its end, using the music to apologise for giving up on it. Her vocals are as entrancing as ever but are delivered with a vulnerability and fragility that makes you feel you are gaining an intimate insight into a protagonist whose decisions have affected a union in the most difficult of ways.
The synths and rhythms that permeate “Thank Me Later” are handled deftly by Jono Graham as we’ve come to expect; the producer is fast growing as one in demand and as his work with Left. has continued to demonstrate, his talents are strongly noticeable when in sync with Corry. A dynamic duo at their weakest, a fiery twosome at their best – these guys are definitely ones to watch.
