Greta Stanley is an artist who, admittedly, passed under our radar somewhat last year. Her debut EP Bedroom City is one that has really flourished, in my opinion, in the time since its release and with her new single “Spin Around”, Stanley has really captured my attention.
What I love about Greta is that you can hear her potential shining and continuing to develop with each release. Much like Lisa Mitchell before her, Greta has always had the charm and the unique appeal, but “Spin Around” is the sort of single that is going to serve as an anchor and entry point for new fans to look back on next year and think, ‘That was that tune that reminds me of her,’.
It’s not the longest of tunes, but it doesn’t need to be. Greta finds herself on “Spin Around” and looks forward optimistically on the song while thematically speaking, everything else in the world is seemingly hurtling out of control.
